  • Kiwanis - Two New Ways For Citizens To Support Their Community

Sunbury, OH - The Sunbury Big Walnut Kiwanis Club, now in its third year of service, has unveiled two new opportunities for local citizens and businesses to be part of the global service organization that was originally founded in Detroit, MI in 1915.

Club President Michelle Linton shares, "Our group of dedicated volunteers continues to take on projects and fundraisers that help with needs in the community. By adding two new levels of membership we wish to invite others to join us and see what Kiwanis is all about without necessarily being a full dues-paying member.”

Supporters at the "Friends of Kiwanis" level receive the following for their $25 annual contribution:

    • Quarterly Email Newsletter highlighting Kiwanis activities and service opportunities

    • Recognition on the club Facebook page and website

In addition to the perks that the "Friends of Kiwanis" supporters receive, "Auxiliary Members" receive the following for their $50 annual contribution:

    • Join the monthly speaker series on the 4th Tuesdays of the month January - October

    • Receive the Kiwanis Magazine, published 10x a year

    • Participate in Kiwanis service projects as a volunteer

"Of course we always welcome folks dedicated to helping kids to join us as a full member which has even more added benefits and opportunities for leadership development, education and service," adds club secretary Jim Janosik.
