The Chamber serves as a catalyst through which people work together for a better community. Collectively, we are able to accomplish activities which no one member can do alone.

at 45 S. Columbus Street on the historic Sunbury Square.

Community Profile.

We will strive to accomplish this by:

• Encouraging the development of a local infrastructure that will support existing and new businesses.
• Promoting the area to prospective new businesses.
• Providing a structure for local businesses to identify their mutual needs, and collectively work to satisfy them.
• Cooperating with local government to provide, through zoning codes, practice and services, an environment that is consistent and encouraging to orderly business development in the community.
• Organizing and supporting civic activities for the benefit of community residents and to enhance the relationship between the Sunbury/Big Walnut Area residents and business community.

Activities sponsored by the Chamber include:

•   Meetings featuring speakers on business growth, development, planning and other business and community topics
•   Publication of the Chamber MembershipDirectory/Community Rrofile/Resource Guide
•   Quarterly newsletter to keep members informed of Chamber and community activities
•   Hosting of area Candidates' Night prior to elections
•   Sponsor and coordinate the area's Independence Day activities
•   Business After Hours - social events which bring local business persons together informally
•   Bi-monthly breakfasts for networking between members and elected officials
•   First Friday Building Business over Breakfast mini-seminars
•   Annual Chamber Community Expo
•   Annual Dinner Meeting for membership & silent auction to benefit Big Walnut Friends Who Share
•   Christmas on the Square Community Celebration
•   Sunbury Farmers' Market, mid-May through mid-October
•   Annual team participation in the Big Walnut Relay For Life
•   Business counseling services
